Intercultural Day

We had Intercultural Day in Scoil Mhuire last Friday. Every class had a particular country and a  food from that country to learn about. We learned all about France and French cheese.
Did you know that French cheese travels about 780 kilometres to get to Irish supermarkets?

We loved learning about France and we made a class book about what we learned. It's in our library now.

We made French flags using the French colours: Blue, white and red.

We worked in teams to make a project on France. Everybody in the class helped. Each team had one thing to investigate, for example Paris, Food, Sport, Disneyland, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and how cheese is made.

On Intercultural Day we wore the French colours- blue, white and red.
Ms. O' Connell pained curly French moustaches on our faces.

We had Pain au Chocolat for a breakfast treat. They were yummy !

We had a stand in the hall all about France and French cheese. We did a really great job telling the other classes about what we learned.

Vive la France!
