Recycled Goods Fashion Show

We had lots of fun getting ready for the school recycled goods fashion show last week. We made all sorts of accessories using recyclable materials.

Autumn Art

We used cotton buds to make Autumn pictures made up of lots of dots. This is how Claude Monet made his very famous paintings- it's called Pointillism.

Autumn Poems

We wrote Autumn acrostic poems - aren't they great? We decorated them with rubbings that we made from Autumn leaves.

   

Drawing Owls

We have been practising drawing this month. We drew owls in two different ways. We used the story "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell as a stimulus.

Chalk Owl Pictures

 

We were given half an owl picture to finish. It was really tricky!

    

The Little Red Hen

We love reading and writing. We read the story of "The Little Red Hen". We made story wheels of the story to summarise it.

  

We sequenced the story using large pictures.

      

We had great fun using finger puppets to recreate the story!

 

Welcome

We have been working hard here in Room 14 so far this year.

We have had a great start to First Class. To welcome everyone to first class we drew self portraits. Don't we look well?
